Personal
After finding major success and publication through surf photography, It’s now my primary skill set as a photographer. Capturing high-intensity moments while swimming in the ocean is the most challenging yet rewarding practice in my skill set as an Artist, leading me to specialise in action sports and Lifestyle photography.
The Mentawai Islands in Indonesia are the epicenter of surf tourism for the entire world, and I’m lucky enough to call them home for 6 months a year shooting content for a wide variety of surf resorts and charter boats, servicing private clients and global brands that are all chasing a slice of this perfect surf destination. Capturing high-end photography and video of not just surfing but lifestyle, fashion, food, hospitality, people and architecture to help these businesses sell a full experience.
To close out the year I spend time working as a guide and photographer in the snowiest place on earth, finding refuge In NIskeo, Japan working for Niseko Photography. This job keeps me busy behind the lens capturing everything from portraiture sessions, guided location tours, photography classes to my dream job as a guide taking people to the best powder locations and capturing epic moments, skiing and snowboarding Japanese mountains with family and friends. You will never hear me complain about riding a snowboard as a job.
The music industry has also been a rewarding place to work, capturing music festivals, live gigs, press shoots, and video productions continually pushes my social and visual skills. Highlights have been doing international shows for Spacey Jane, Shooting for Wine Machine + Snow Machine Japan, and being able to work with a major group of Western Australia’s best musicians.
My COVID creation was Walls Magazine, an Events-based publication designed as a platform to shine a light on physical creative mediums, putting together print magazines, pop-up art galleries, and Short films festival has been the most rewarding experience. The magazine was created to solve the problem of social media being the only platform me creatives the display their work. Photos were originally designed to be printed and that’s exactly what we do! turn digital into physical, add a few friends, a couple of drinks and some DJs.
